Like I did with the months of March, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October, I will present some summary statistics which can explain the trends that we observed during the month of November 2020.

Largest daily case increase: 2,358 (25 November)

Median daily growth rate: 0.81%

Total fatalities on 31 October: 3,860
Total fatalities on 30 November: 4,111
Total fatality increase: 251

Smallest daily fatality increase: 1 (2 & 6 November)
Largest daily fatality increase: 15 (19& 26 November)

Median daily growth rate: 0.20%

April 23rd Data Update

This post updates COVID-19 confirmed case data for the DC Metropolitan area as of April 23rd 2020. The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 980 to  17,162  from  the previous total of 16,182 , an approximate 6% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for cases in the DC area is approximately 13.5 days.  Fatalities rose by 65 to  658  from  the previous total of 593 , an approximate 11% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for fatalities in the DC area is approximately 7.3 days. April 24th Data Update

This post updates COVID-19 confirmed case data for the DC Metropolitan area as of April 24th 2020. The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 1,064 to 18,266  from  the previous total of 17,162 , an approximate 6% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for cases in the DC area is approximately 12.6 days.  Fatalities rose by 52 to  710  from  the previous total of 658 , an approximate 8% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for fatalities in the DC area is approximately 7.7 days.
