April 26th Data Update

This post updates COVID-19 confirmed case data for the DC Metropolitan area as of April 26th 2020. The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 813 to 20,311 from the previous total of 19,498, an approximate 4% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for cases in the DC area is approximately 12.9 days. 

Fatalities rose by 27 to 802 from the previous total of 775, an approximate 3% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for fatalities in the DC area is approximately 12.4 days.

Note: At the repeated request of one of my long-time readers, I have added charts showing the daily increases in new cases and fatalities, as well as the cumulative figures which I have been using up to this point. Please remember to take note of the respective scales on the Y-axes on the charts when looking at them, as they are all scaled differently due to different magnitudes.
