April 24th Data Update
This post updates COVID-19 confirmed case data for the DC Metropolitan area as of April 24th 2020. The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 1,064 to 18,266 from the previous total of 17,162, an approximate 6% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for cases in the DC area is approximately 12.6 days.
Fatalities rose by 52 to 710 from the previous total of 658, an approximate 8% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for fatalities in the DC area is approximately 7.7 days.

While case numbers have been rising last couple of days, there’s also been an increase in testing.
ReplyDeleteYes - I completely recognize this reality. If this is the case, it would suggest that earlier cases (i.e. March and early April) may have been under-reported.
