May 5th Data Update
This post updates COVID-19 confirmed case data for the DC Metropolitan area as of May 5th 2020. The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 1,001 to 31,225 from the previous total of 30,224, an approximate 3% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for cases in the DC area is approximately 17.7 days.
Fatalities rose by 59 to 1,350 from the previous total of 1,291, an approximate 5% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for fatalities in the DC area is approximately 16.7 days.

Doubling time at 17 days and Rt is at 0.96 in DC... well, thats kind of good news? I know we cant assume much but hey, those numbers are almost a positive thing right? For now
