May 17th Data Update
This post updates COVID-19 confirmed case data for the DC Metropolitan area as of May 17th 2020. The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 1,134 to 45,767 from the previous total of 44,633, an approximate 3% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for cases in the DC area is approximately 27.6 days.
Fatalities rose by 39 to 1,972 from the previous total of 1,933, an approximate 2% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for fatalities in the DC area is approximately 30.6 days.

Finally a plateau? Looks pretty similar for the past 5-6 days....
ReplyDeleteThat's what it would seem like (and I would even offer that fatalities seem to be in an outright decline). However, I also had previously believed that the region had hit a peak around 10-11 April, and that obviously turned out not to be the case.
