Maryland Data Reconstruction
Reconstruction of Maryland's case data was made simpler by the fact that there are only four jurisdictions to monitor: Frederick County, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, and Charles County.
Maryland's first reported COVID-19 cases were on March 5th 2020. I began pulling the daily MDH COVID-19 data on March 27th. Hence, information for the dates between March 5th and March 26th need to be determined.
As MDH does not publish historic case data, we need need to reconstruct the data ourselves. Due to difference in available information between each jurisdiction, we need to take a different approach for each one. Compared to the reconstruction of Virginia's data, the task for Maryland was made a bit easier by the fact that there are only four jurisdictions in Maryland to monitor.
**Note** - Will try to add raw spreadsheet at a later date. Available upon request via e-mail for now.

- Frederick County- The Frederick County public health website provided some information on confirmed cases, in addition to some reporting from the Frederick News Post. An unstructured dataset of confirmed cases from the Washington Post ("Known coronavirus cases in D.C., Maryland and Virginia", updated regularly) filled in any remaining gaps.
- Montgomery County - Reporting from Bethesda Magazine in the form of near-daily updates provided the bulk of information updates for Montgomery County, as well as for Prince George's County. An unstructured dataset of confirmed cases from the Washington Post ("Known coronavirus cases in D.C., Maryland and Virginia", updated regularly) filled in any remaining gaps.

An unstructured dataset of confirmed cases from the Washington Post ("Known coronavirus cases in D.C., Maryland and Virginia", updated regularly) filled in any remaining gaps.
