June 1st Data Update
This post updates COVID-19 confirmed case data for the DC Metropolitan area as of June 1st 2020. The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 622 to 63,904 from the previous total of 63,282, an approximate 1% increase. Fatalities rose by 23 to 2,559 from the previous total of 2,536, an approximate 1% increase.
Note - I've stopped updating the doubling-time statistic, because the daily rate-of-growth has gotten so small as of late, the the doubling-time statistic has grown exceedingly high. You can still use the rate-of-growth to calculate the doubling time. I will also provide some summary statistics for the month of May in the coming days.
