May 21st Data Update

This post updates COVID-19 confirmed case data for the DC Metropolitan area as of May 21st 2020. The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 1,572 to 51,410 from the previous total of 49,838, an approximate 3% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for cases in the DC area is approximately 22.3 days. 

Fatalities rose by 52 to 2,151 from the previous total of 2,099, an approximate 2% increase. The doubling time (3-day moving average) for fatalities in the DC area is approximately 27.8 days.
