The total confirmed cases in the DC area rose by 433 to  76,145  from  the previous total of 75,712 , an approximate 1% increase. Fatalities rose by 5 to  2,969  from  the previous total of 2,964 , an approximate <1% increase*. *Due to a data transcription error, I did not have new fatalities for Maryland for 21 June. The data update for 22 June will thus include new fatalities for both 21 and 22 June, which may make the count for Maryland seem a bit higher than otherwise. Likewise, today's count for Maryland is simply a repeat of Maryland's count for the 20th, which likely will make it seem a bit lower than otherwise.
